Handmade From Scratch

I make every piece by hand, I do not use molds or a pottery wheel. Every piece is hand-built, one at a time.

All of my cups and bowls are made using the pinching technique. This is one of the oldest forms of pottery making, where a solid piece of clay is slowly shaped by hand through gentle pinching and refining. It is a slow and intimate process that allows me to create soft organic forms and delicate details that feel alive.

For my wall art and plates, I use the slab technique, where sheets of clay are rolled out, cut, shaped, and sculpted by hand before being carefully assembled and refined.

The flowers, leaves, and sculptural details are individually made and attached by hand. No two pieces are ever exactly the same.

Each piece is one of a kind.

Even when I repeat a design, small variations in shape, glaze, flowers, and details make every piece unique, carrying the marks of being made entirely by hand.

The Making Process

I work with high-fired stoneware clay, which creates durable ceramics made to be enjoyed for years.

The process takes between 3 and 4 weeks from start to finish.

First, I shape and sculpt the piece by hand. Depending on its size and complexity, the making stage can take anywhere from 2 hours for a small piece to 12 hours or more for a larger sculptural one. This is one of the main reasons why prices vary from piece to piece—the price reflects the time, detail, and craftsmanship that went into creating it.

After shaping, the piece needs time to dry completely (approximately for 2 weeks). It is then carefully sanded and refined before the first firing, known as the bisque firing.

Once fired, I wash the piece, glaze it by hand, and fire it again at a high temperature. After the final firing, I gently sand and finish any remaining rough spots before the piece is ready to be packed and sent to its new home.

Slow Living

These pieces were made to bring a personal touch into your home.

To remind us to slow down, appreciate the moment we have with ourselves, and cherish the the simple joys of life.

Because sometimes a cup of tea, a quiet morning, fresh flowers, and a handmade piece are enough to make a day feel wholesome.

Inspired by nature, my ceramics are made to be lived with, loved, and kept for many years to come.
